Dunk Burgers & Chocolate is a dessert and burger lounge group with branches in Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Richmond Hill and Windsor, plus a franchising programme.
The design problem. Multi-location restaurant website design fails in a predictable way: one address gets pride of place and every other branch feels like an afterthought. Meanwhile the franchise enquiry — worth more than a year of table bookings — ends up buried under the dessert menu.
How we designed it. Locations are given equal weight in a single row, each with its own address, phone number and opening hours, so a customer in Windsor is served as directly as one on Queen Street West. Franchising sits in the top-level navigation rather than the footer, because that visitor is a different person with a different question and should never have to hunt.
Look and feel. Full-bleed dessert photography carries the hero, in a chocolate-brown and pink palette that matches the room rather than a stock restaurant template. Food this photogenic should be the interface, so the imagery is given room to work and the typography stays out of its way.
