Blackwelder is an adaptive reuse development of nineteen standalone buildings across a 6.97-acre landmark campus in Culver City, California, marketed to commercial tenants.
The design problem. Commercial property website design is usually built for the developer rather than the tenant — renderings, corporate boilerplate, and the leasing enquiry three levels down. But a business choosing premises is imagining their team in the space, and no floor plan does that job.
How we designed it. Photography of the finished interiors fills the screen: exposed brick, polished concrete, a long communal table, the character that adaptive reuse produces and new-build cannot fake. The space sells itself, so it gets the whole viewport.
Making the numbers land. The positioning statement is overlaid directly on that photograph with the two figures that matter — nineteen buildings, 6.97 acres — picked out in colour against white text. A prospective tenant absorbs the scale without reading a specification sheet.
A single Now Leasing call to action sits beneath it in high-contrast green, and the navigation carries what a tenant actually needs next: availabilities, location, gallery.
