Startup advisory website design website design by BridgeWeb

Startup advisory website design

The design brief. A consultancy site covering business consulting, investment and stock, business advisory and finance and banking, aimed at startups and growing companies.

The tinted hero. A photograph of two people mid-discussion sits behind a deep navy overlay, with the headline set across it and one line picked out in gold. Overlaying rather than darkening keeps the image readable as a scene while guaranteeing the type stays legible — a more controlled result than relying on the photograph's own contrast.

Gold on navy. A single warm gold accent against deep navy carries every emphasis on the page. The pairing is doing specific work: navy is the expected colour for financial credibility, and gold lifts it into something that suggests premium advice rather than institutional caution. Used sparingly — one word in the headline, the links, the icons — it never becomes ostentatious.

The benefits bar. A dark band directly beneath the hero carries three capabilities with outline icons: market research, day trading, expert consulting. Sitting between the hero and the main content, it summarises the offering before a visitor commits to scrolling, which matters for a consultancy whose name gives no clue what it does.

Video in the about section. A thumbnail with a play control is paired with the firm's positioning statement. For advisory services, where the product is the people, a video does more in thirty seconds than several paragraphs, and placing it beside the text rather than below gives it equal weight.

The four-service grid. Consulting, investment and stock, advisory, and finance and banking, presented as bordered cards with line icons. Thin outlines rather than filled boxes or shadows — a quieter treatment that suits the professional register and keeps the page from feeling heavy.

Typography. A light serif for headings against a small clean sans for body copy. The serif provides the gravity the category needs while the light weight keeps it from feeling stuffy, and the combination reads as considered rather than corporate.
