Marketing agency website design

The design brief. A full-service marketing agency site covering brand strategy, advertising, conversion rate optimisation, content marketing, digital campaigns and lead generation — six services that need to be legible without turning the page into a list.

The offset hero panel. An overhead photograph of a team meeting sits behind a semi-transparent panel carrying the headline, deliberately offset to the left rather than centred. The asymmetry gives the composition tension and leaves the right side of the photograph visible, so the image still reads as a scene rather than a texture behind a box.

The inline quote bar. A dark strip directly beneath the hero carries a service dropdown, a phone field and a request-a-call button, all on one line. This is the most commercially significant element on the page. Most agency sites bury the enquiry in a contact page; putting a two-field form immediately below the hero captures the visitor at peak interest and asks for the minimum possible commitment.

Two-column service list. The six services run as a simple two-column list with short descriptions rather than as six cards. Cards would have consumed twice the vertical space and implied the services are separate products; a list implies a connected capability, which is what a full-service agency is actually selling.

Deep blue throughout. A saturated blue fills most of the page with white type on top. Committing to a single strong colour across large areas is unusual and effective — it makes the site instantly recognisable, and it means the featured work below stands out sharply because it carries the only other colours on the page.

The featured work band. Three project images sit in a row against the blue, with a lighter panel beside them carrying a short positioning statement. Placing the work directly after the service list answers the obvious follow-up question — can you actually do it — without making the visitor navigate to a portfolio page.

Typography. A heavy serif for headings against a small clean sans for detail, with the serif set large and tight. It gives an agency page authority without the shouting typography the category often reaches for.
